Terms of use
These terms apply to your use of devtoolworld.com ("DevToolWorld", "the site"), which is run by Sarbjit Singh ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Using the tools
The tools are free to use for personal and commercial work, with no account needed. You may use their output, such as formatted code, generated Dockerfiles, Kubernetes manifests or Java classes, in your own projects without attribution.
Tools run in your browser, and you are responsible for the input you give them and for how you use the results. Review generated or transformed output before relying on it, especially in production systems and anything security-related. See the disclaimer.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the site in a way that breaks any law, or to process content you have no right to use;
- attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or the servers it runs on;
- use the API Request Builder or any other tool to attack, scan or send unsolicited requests to systems you do not own or have permission to test;
- copy the site, or a substantial part of its content, to republish it as your own, or scrape it at a rate that affects its availability;
- interfere with the advertising shown on the site in ways that defraud advertisers, such as generating fake clicks.
Content and intellectual property
The site's design, text, guides and articles are owned by Sarbjit Singh and protected by copyright. You may quote short excerpts with a link to the source page. The tools use open-source libraries, which remain under their own licences.
Your input and the output generated from it belong to you. We do not receive them and claim no rights over them.
Third-party services and links
The site links to external websites and uses third-party services, such as Google Analytics and Google AdSense, as described in the privacy policy. We are not responsible for the content or practices of other websites. Requests you send with the API Request Builder go directly to the service you choose, under that service's terms.
No warranty
The site and tools are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the site will be available, error-free or that results will be correct. Details are in the disclaimer.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or its tools, even if we were told such loss was possible. Because the tools are free, our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to zero, or the lowest amount permitted by law. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud, or rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.
Changes
We may change the site, add or remove tools, or update these terms at any time. The "Last updated" date shows when the terms last changed. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by TODO: governing law, e.g. "the laws of England and Wales". If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of mandatory laws in the country where you live.
