Tools are provided as-is
DevToolWorld's tools are free utilities provided "as is", without any warranty of accuracy, completeness, reliability or fitness for a particular purpose. They are built carefully and tested, but software has bugs, the formats they handle have edge cases, and the libraries they depend on change. Check results before you rely on them, and keep backups of anything important before replacing it with tool output.
Check generated output before production use
Generators such as the Dockerfile Generator, Kubernetes YAML Generator, Git Command Generator and JSON to Java produce starting points based on common conventions. They cannot see your project, infrastructure or repository. Review the output, test it in a safe environment, and read the warnings shown next to commands that rewrite history or delete data.
Security-related tools are not security guarantees
- Decoding is not validation. The JWT Decoder shows what a token contains. A token is only trustworthy after your server verifies its signature, issuer, audience and expiry with a proper library.
- MD5 is not secure. The MD5 Generator is for checksums and compatibility. Never use MD5 to store passwords or to protect against deliberate tampering.
- Base64 is not encryption. Anyone can decode Base64; it does not protect secrets.
- Validation is limited to what is described. The OpenAPI Validator, formatters and parsers check structure and syntax. They do not prove that a spec, configuration or query is correct for your system.
Privacy depends on your environment
Tools process input in your browser and do not send it to DevToolWorld. Your device, browser extensions, network and clipboard are outside our control, however. Avoid pasting live production secrets anywhere when you do not need to, and rotate any credential you believe may have been exposed.
Guides and articles are general information
Guides and tool articles explain common practices, and are reviewed and dated. They are not professional, legal or security advice for your particular situation, and standards and software versions change over time. Check the official documentation for the versions you use.
