What does the formatter change?
It uses # headings, - for bullet lists, _ for emphasis and ** for bold. It also fixes blank lines between blocks, renumbers ordered lists and pads tables so the columns line up.
Will it change my code blocks?
No. The content of fenced and indented code blocks is left exactly as it is.
Which wrapping option should I pick?
"Keep line breaks" is the safest. "Wrap paragraphs" breaks long lines at the chosen width, and "One line per paragraph" joins them, which works well with git diffs of prose.
